Charles A. Curtis was born in Hallowell, ME, and died in Madison, WI. He graduated both with the Norwich University class of 1861 and from Bowdoin College the same year. He served during the Civil War and with the regular army until 1870. Charles Curtis served as professor of military science and tactics at Norwich from 1869 to 1876.
